Oh, Ames. If it makes you feel any better (I'm not sure it will), I used to run in that park. Alone. At, like six in the morning. In winter and summer and spring and fall. Just about every single stinking day. If ever there were a target, it was me. And you know what? I'd probably feel a lot like you if I were still living there. Eventually I'd probably forget. But I'd be extra careful for a little while, and then maybe I'd start to go again, with a group of people. And then I'd probably ease back into going by myself again. You're not selfish, Ames. You're just being human. And smart.

And you think you run late posting to MY journal! Anyway, what yi shun said. I've never been a jogger but I loved that park; now, if I hadn't moved right as this was hitting the news, I'd be scared to be there by myself. And I think it sucks that such a well-used and much-needed oasis has been made to feel unsafe by some monstrous waste of skin preying on Fox.
